In an effort to delve away from traditional prepared food ingredients, we don’t use any sugar, oil or preservatives. We also use ingredients that have proven health benefits – when you eat well, you feel well.

We start all our sauces with a peanut base. Nuts, peanuts in particular, are rich in mono-saturated fats, that are common in a Mediterranean diet. Studies have proven that a diet rich in nuts help alleviate cardiovascular disease risk and promote holistic heart health. They also contain generous amounts of vitamin E, niacin, folate, protein and magnesium. An added bonus? They are rich in antioxidants.

Depending on which recipe, we like to add in a kick to heat up the flavor – we do this by adding garlic or cayenne pepper, both vital ingredients for a meal that will keep you going all day. Garlic has many attributes that make it a staple in our pantry. In addition to combating heart disease, a diet rich in garlic controls blood pressure and is a secret weapon for treating colds and infections. Cayenne Pepper contains capsicum, a property useful for aiding in pain relief and a multitude of vitamins, which makes cayenne key for a healthful diet.
